My 2003 convertible Audi TT & 1982 Collector Edition Corvette

I know what your going to say, I've lost it when I passed 40 years old.. WRONG you judgmental frig!

I do not believe in the saying "The one with the most toys wins", not my style man.

Here's the dillio: I bought my Corvette years ago, It's a constant work in progress. When I was in High School, I saw this car and said "someday..." Well, guess what?! Someday came and I got bit by the Shark baby!

The Audi was a different story. My last position came with a company car, a Honda Accord. I would pray every day the car would throw a rod! It was a 4 cylinder POS with cloth interior. The gas mileage wasn't that good! Something happened where I had to give the car to salesperson and they asked if they can give me $$ each month towards a new truck?

Well guess what Skippy?

My wife was already driving a Acura MDX so why would I need ANOTHER truck?

I figured I can get something that would get great gas mileage and it MUST be a convertible. (Hey, it's their money!) Now the smart thing would have been to pocket the cash and call it a day but after seeing my kid brother pass away from cancer when he was 30 years old, life is too short. Live everyday like it's your last man.

I test drove two seaters like crazy. The Z3 almost made it into my driveway, The S2000 was a small plastic toy and the 350Z should have been left for dead when the Vette killed it off in the 90's.

So you ask, Why not another Vette? I know, they are really sweet but I needed something that can handle the inclement Northeast weather.

So my choice was the Convertible, 6 speed, 225 HP, baseball interior Black Audi TT. Man oh man, this car does it all and does it well. The car can use more power but other than that it's a really nice ride.

The car has had it share of problems:

Glove box handle broke off in my hand
Hazard signal switch went bad
Tires are too thin, I popped one going over a pothole
4th gear blew and the tranny needed to be replaced
Front Xexon light went bad

All of these items were covered under warranty. The car has 20,500 miles and the lease is up in 2/06. The buy back is 23K, I think I'm going to buy this sucker!
